Art Galleries Back-to School Bash
Contact:

cpham@hccfl.edu

HC Art Galleries celebrates the start of the 2026–2027 academic year with its annual Back-to-School Bash, featuring the opening of The Rhythm of Resilience, a new installation by Cuban-born artist Elizabeth Cerviño in Gallery114@HC Ybor City Campus.

Outside the gallery, the celebration continues in the Ybor Performing Arts Building Lobby with Passport to Cuba, a special fundraiser inspired by the enduring cultural connections between Florida and Cuba.

Guests can enjoy live music by HC music instructor and guitarist Mark Switzer, Cuban-inspired light bites prepared by the college's catering team, and a special mini Silent Hawktion featuring a small selection of exceptional artworks available for bidding.

Enhance your experience by becoming an HC Art Galleries member and gain access to El Floridita, our exclusive members-only Cuban mocktail lounge. Inspired by one of Havana's most iconic gathering places, the lounge will feature spirit-free takes on classic Cuban cocktails and provide a welcoming space to relax, connect and celebrate the evening. Members will receive the evening's password before the event, while new members can join that night and receive immediate access.

Admission is free and open to the public. Every membership and auction bid helps support HC Art Galleries' exhibitions, educational programs and year-round community events.
