A Florida Resident Discount is available for students who are classified as an in-state Florida Resident. Students will be admitted as non-Florida residents until documentation to prove Florida Residency is submitted. Check out our residency page to find out what documents you can submit to prove Florida Residency.
Complete our online application. Before you begin, be sure to decide what program you wish to apply for and review our residency requirements.
Your acceptance email will include your HC login information for the MyHC Portal. Use MyHC to access your Hawkmail and register for classes in Workday.
Check your Workday inbox and complete all required onboarding steps.
You must submit official transcripts for high school, and all colleges and universities attended. Visit our Transcripts page for information on how to submit. You can check the status of your transcript submissions on the Academics Hub in Workday.
There are three ways to determine your placement level in reading, writing, and math. Your advisors will help determine which options is best for you.
Academic Advisors are available on a walk-in basis at any campus. Phone or virtual appointments are available, though availability may be limited during peak times.
We recommend meeting with an Advisor before Orientation, but it is not required. You can still sign up and continue with your steps to enroll.
If you have not yet submitted your high school transcript and placement test scores (if taken), plan to bring unofficial copies to your advisor meeting.
As a first-time college student, you are required to complete our First-Time Hawk Orientation. Orientation is offered both in-person and virtually. You will register for classes during your Orientation session!

Upon registering for classes, you will be automatically enrolled in Hawk Book Bundle, a rental program that provides HC students with all required course materials for $23 per credit hour. If you do not wish to participate in this program, you must opt-out during the opt-out window each semester.
