A Florida Resident Discount is available for students who are classified as an in-state Florida Resident. Students will be admitted as non-Florida residents until documentation to prove Florida Residency is submitted. Check out our residency page to find out what documents you can submit to prove Florida Residency.
Complete our online application as a transfer student. Before you begin, be sure to decide what program you wish to apply for and review our residency requirements.
Your acceptance email will include your HC login information for the MyHC Portal. Use MyHC to access your Hawkmail and register for classes in Workday.
Check your Workday inbox and complete all required onboarding steps.
You must submit an official high school transcript or GED transcript and official transcripts from all colleges or trade/technical school you previously attended. See our Transcripts page for how to submit.
You can check the status of your transcript submissions on the Academics Hub in Workday.
Meet with an Academic Advisor to discuss transfer credit and to build your academic plan. If you have not yet submitted official high school and college transcripts, plan to bring copies to your advisor meeting.
Advisors are available on a walk-in basis at any campus. Phone or virtual appointments are available, though availability may be limited during peak times.
As a transfer student you have the option to complete our fully online orientation or sign up for a First-Time Hawk Orientation in-person or virtually.
Check out our Paying for College page to view your options for paying tuition. Apply for financial aid by completing the FAFSA. Be sure to use the HC school code 007870.

Upon registering for classes, you will be automatically enrolled in Hawk Book Bundle, a rental program that provides HC students with all required course materials for $23 per credit hour. If you do not wish to participate in this program, you must opt-out during the opt-out window each semester.
