In 2006, Hillsborough College held the first annual National Black, Brown & College Bound (BBCB) Summit in Tampa, Florida to address the national problem of a lack of student success in the areas of access, retention and graduation rates for Black and Latino male students.
Staying true to our mission, BBCB – now known as: Believe. Build. Complete. Become. – remains deeply committed to advancing college completion and paving a smoother path to student success and has grown into a leading national event that is open to all students of any background.
